CHICAGO THEATRE WORKSHOP announces cast for new world premiere comedy,
IDIOT ACTOR SYNDROME!
CTW begins its first ever development lab series this week with a new comedy from actor/writer, Paul Bartholomew, the voice of the Ellen Degeneres Show. Idiot Actors Syndrome will be directed by CTW’s artistic director, Tom Mullen.
Based on the viral video of the same name, IDIOT ACTOR SYNDROME tells the story of Peter O’Neil, a darling of the east village theatre scene. His work and his theatre company are steadily gaining a solid reputation in NYC, however, tired of not making the living he wants Peter makes the jump to L.A. where he contracts a rare, debilitating illness, IAS (Idiot Actors Syndrome). With any luck the medical team at the Actors Institute for Quality Control might be able to help! IDIOT ACTOR SYNDROME tells the hilarious story of what happens when talent, love and ambition meet at the intersection of art and commerce!
The cast includes, Brian Huther, Norm Woodel, Chris O’Reilly, Emily Ember, Noah Berman, Jen Connor, Hunter Bryant and Reeny Hofrichter. Workshop rehearsals begin this fall and performances are in the spring of 2019 at Theatre Wit.
